A better world at work

Introduction

Employment Hero is a new people management platform designed to make work-life easier and more rewarding for SMEs and their people.

To accelerate growth and connection with millennials, Employment Hero engaged The One Centre to create a new brand positioning and bring it to life with a fresh identity, communications platform and website.

We created the positioning ‘A better world at work’ and reframed Employment Hero as an SME people champion, empowering employers with a world class HR management platform and their people with benefits and rewards normally only offered by big businesses – all made possible by ‘platform economics’ and ‘The power of us’.

Positioning

The Story: Everyone wants to grow a great business. And everyone wants to work in one. Great businesses grow on great people. Working together, faster, more empowered, more connected, more rewarded than ever before. But young businesses can’t afford the people platforms big ones can. We positioned Employment Hero as here to change all that.

Employment Hero empowers young businesses with a best practice people platform that makes work-life easier, more rewarding and growth generating. How? ‘The power of us’. Thousands of SMEs and millions of their people spreading the cost of delivering world class services and sharing the value they create together.

Identity

We created an iconic new brand mark for Employment Hero symbolising ‘The power of us’ philosophy and alignment the platform offers traditionally competing forces. We introduced a new brand language with a fresh, vibrant, ’sportif’ colour palette, bold and distinctive block-colour-grid, playful and dynamic iconography and lifestyle photography which celebrates the power of relationships and ‘teamwork’ in contexts inside and outside the workplace, demonstrating how the platform supports and empowers progressive ‘working life’.

Communications

Central to positioning Employment Hero for expansion was to give the brand a simple, strong ‘anthemic’ campaign communications platform. One that can be used consistently and ‘iconoclastically’ across channels yet flex to accomodate different comms tasks, while always building the brand.

Our approach uses our newly created brand equities and art directional style in a bold and dynamic way and features a headlining structure that activates the brand name and positioning essence -HERO- as its constant operator. This means irrespective of whether we are making a brand, product, platform feature or tactical communication, we are always building the brand in a charismatic and unified way.

Website

The Employment Hero digital platform acts as the brands most important information and resources hub, sales lead-generator and gateway to the application. We completely redesigned and rebuilt the website, rethinking the UX and user journey to help double leads and radically reduce support requests for information and resources. It was also reimagined as a critical brand touchpoint to communicate our new positioning and engage employers and employees with the brand purpose, personality and values.
